Return and Refund Policy

Clear and Transparent Return and Refund Policy

Our Return and Refund Policy is designed to provide prospective and current English and Bull Mastiff puppy owners with clear information about the terms and procedures that may apply when purchasing or reserving a puppy. Because puppies are living animals and every dog has individual health, behavioral, developmental, and welfare needs, decisions concerning returns, refunds, cancellations, and changes to ownership should be handled carefully and responsibly.

The purpose of this Return and Refund Policy is to establish transparent expectations before a transaction is completed and to encourage every prospective owner to consider their ability to provide appropriate lifelong care. Before placing a reservation or completing a purchase, customers should carefully review all applicable terms, ask questions about the puppy, and make sure the household is prepared for the responsibilities associated with raising an English or Bull Mastiff. Information relating to the puppy’s age, identification, available veterinary records, vaccination history, feeding routine, health information, and other relevant documentation should be reviewed before ownership is transferred. Any reservation fee, deposit, payment schedule, cancellation provision, or refund arrangement should be clearly explained in writing before payment is made.

The Return and Refund Policy should also be read together with any separate purchase agreement or health guarantee because specific terms may differ depending on the individual transaction and applicable local laws. Since puppies are living animals, a return should never be treated in the same manner as returning an ordinary retail product. If an owner unexpectedly becomes unable to care for a Mastiff puppy, the first priority should be the puppy’s safety and welfare. Owners should communicate promptly with the responsible party and seek appropriate guidance regarding safe rehoming or return arrangements where those options are available under the applicable agreement. A puppy should never be abandoned, surrendered irresponsibly, or transferred to an unknown party simply because circumstances have changed.

Our Return and Refund Policy emphasizes responsible communication and the welfare of the puppy throughout the ownership process. Customers should understand that a refund is not automatically available simply because they change their mind, experience an unexpected lifestyle change, encounter ordinary puppy behaviors, or decide that a giant-breed dog requires more time and resources than anticipated. Mastiff puppies can require significant commitment involving nutrition, veterinary care, training, socialization, exercise, grooming, suitable housing, transportation, and daily companionship. Prospective owners should therefore make their decision carefully before placing a reservation or accepting a puppy. If a customer believes a situation may qualify under a written health guarantee or other contractual provision, they should follow the stated notification and veterinary documentation requirements. A qualified veterinarian should evaluate health concerns, and appropriate records should be retained.

The Return and Refund Policy should never be interpreted as a substitute for veterinary advice, and health-related concerns should be addressed promptly by a licensed veterinary professional. Where a refund or other remedy is permitted by the applicable written agreement, the customer may be required to provide supporting documentation and comply with specified deadlines or procedures. Any approved refund should be processed according to the terms communicated at the time of purchase. Customers are encouraged to maintain copies of receipts, contracts, veterinary records, payment confirmations, and other relevant documents.

Clear documentation can help prevent misunderstandings and make communication easier if a question arises after purchase. Because consumer-protection and animal-welfare requirements can vary by jurisdiction, customers should also review applicable local laws and regulations. Our goal with this Return and Refund Policy is to promote transparency, responsible decision-making, clear communication, and the long-term welfare of every English and Bull Mastiff puppy.

Understanding Return and refund policy, Cancellations, and Responsible Puppy Ownership

Understanding our Return and Refund Policy before committing to an English or Bull Mastiff puppy can help families make informed decisions and establish realistic expectations. Customers should recognize that a puppy is a lifelong companion rather than a conventional product, and any return or ownership-change situation should therefore be approached with care, compassion, and responsibility. If circumstances change after a puppy enters a new home, customers should contact the appropriate party as soon as possible to discuss the situation and determine whether the written agreement provides a return, rehoming, credit, refund, or another appropriate solution. Any arrangements should be confirmed in writing so that everyone understands the agreed process.

The Return and Refund Policy may contain specific provisions concerning deposits, reservation payments, cancellations, transportation expenses, veterinary costs, documentation, health guarantees, and other transaction-related matters. Customers should review those provisions before making payment rather than assuming that every payment is refundable. If a reservation is cancelled before ownership is transferred, the applicable written agreement should determine whether the payment is refundable, transferable, partially refundable, or non-refundable, subject to applicable law.

Once a puppy has entered a new home, the situation can become more complex because the puppy may have experienced changes in environment, diet, routine, transportation, socialization, and veterinary care. For that reason, any potential return should be discussed promptly and handled according to the written agreement and relevant animal-welfare requirements. If a health concern is suspected, owners should seek veterinary attention rather than delaying treatment while waiting for a policy decision. A veterinarian’s written findings may be required when a health-related matter is being considered under a Return and Refund Policy or separate health guarantee. Customers should provide accurate documentation and follow any stated notification period because contractual procedures may affect eligibility. Ordinary puppy behaviors such as chewing, barking, house-training accidents, nighttime waking, playful biting, or adjustment difficulties should not automatically be considered grounds for a refund.

These behaviors can occur during normal puppy development and may require patience, consistent training, socialization, and professional guidance. Similarly, a customer’s inability to provide appropriate care should be addressed responsibly rather than through abandonment or an unplanned transfer. Families considering an English or Bull Mastiff should evaluate their living arrangements, schedule, budget, experience, transportation options, and long-term ability to meet the needs of a giant breed before purchasing. The Return and Refund Policy is intended to support clear expectations, but responsible ownership remains an ongoing commitment. Customers should understand that transportation and delivery arrangements may involve separate terms, and shipping or travel expenses may not necessarily be treated in the same way as the puppy’s purchase price.

Any applicable charges, exclusions, deadlines, and refund procedures should be clearly stated in the actual agreement provided to the customer. Where local laws provide consumer or animal-welfare protections that differ from website terms, those legal requirements should be respected. We encourage customers to ask questions before committing, carefully review all documentation, and seek professional advice when necessary. Our approach to the Return and Refund Policy is centered on transparency, responsible communication, and the welfare of the puppy.

A clear policy benefits both families and providers by reducing uncertainty and ensuring that important expectations are understood in advance. Above all, every English and Bull Mastiff puppy deserves a safe, stable, loving, and permanent home whenever possible. By encouraging careful preparation before purchase, prompt communication when circumstances change, and responsible veterinary and rehoming practices when necessary, this Return and Refund Policy can help create a more informed and welfare-focused ownership experience.

Unconditional Rehoming Offer

Return and refund policy

No one knows what the future holds. If for any reason you are not able to keep your dog and can’t find anyone who can give it a suitable home, we will always take it back and re-home it for you. Our wish is that your dog, regardless of age, will never be without a home or end up in the pound with this unconditional lifelong re-homing offer.

We pride ourselves in being conscientious breeders, meaning we thrive to breed out issues the breeds are prone to. To that end we do our best to keep up to date on new testing practices and DNA test all our dogs. That being said, nothing in life is certain, so we offer the following Health Guarantee:

Where an animal is returned to the business within 21 days of sale, accompanied by a statement from a veterinary practitioner that the animal is unacceptable for health reasons, Lifetime Pets will take back the animal and refund 100% of the purchase price.*

If the animal is diagnosed with, suffering from, dies of or is euthanized from a physical defect or disease that is traceable to a point of sale within 3 years of purchase, Lifetime Pets will refund 100% of the purchase price.*

* For that to happen, the owner has to provide supporting statements from a veterinary practitioner, including test results, where a suitable test is available. Furthermore the owner has to make veterinary reports and test results available to Fortress Mastiffs, so that we can obtain our own veterinary advice for the purpose of improving future breeding management. Test results and death certificates must be linked with the animals microchip number. If an heritable defect is suspected we will hold off on breeding from the affected dogs parents until all testing is complete and it is certain the parent is healthy and not responsible for the terrible defect. If we do find one of our dogs to be the reason we will have him or her retired immediately.
